Tycho & Little Dragon

I have been a long fan of artist Scott Hansen of ISO50. Being a graphic designer myself, his work drew me in originally. Then, I quickly fell in love with his music too. And early last year I saw Tycho  play here in LA. Breathtaking is the only work for it. Now, I know I just did a music post, but he just released this remix (as he's been opening for Little Dragon, another fav). It's so gorgeous, you have to at least take a listen. And if you're a fan like me you can even download it.

Of course he even designs his artwork for his music. Amazing! Right?!?!

Run. Inspired.

I have a small, growing obsession of watching marathons and other races. So naturally, I watched the NYC Marathon on Sunday. I have been a little run down (read the boyfriend got me sick) lately, but watching these amazing runners always inspires me. As a  little tribute to them and in hopes of inspiring a few other people to get out there are sweat today.

And Ellie Goulding's, spot for Nike Running.

Now go grab your running shoes and get your sweat on! Happy trails.

Reunion weekend

I am heading home to Palm Springs for a huge family reunion, (yes, people actually are FROM Palm Springs). We even have cousins flying in from Australia to attend. It's going to be an interesting weekend to say the least. I heard part of this little ditty on a Kate Spade promo and it reminded me of going away for the weekend. I will make it my anthem.

Moving Manhattan

I have visited New York City dozens of times. And yet, though I've never been a resident, I have this strong affinity for it. I still harbor hope that I will someday live there, no matter how brief and live in full experience. In the meantime, this time lapse video is so amazing and well-done, it nearly brought me to tears. Happy Monday!

Music Monday

I am so excited to present to you my first Music Monday post. So, I will start with a little music background for you, so you know what to expect and where I am coming from. Music is such a huge part of my life. There are very seldom days when I don't have a pair of headphones in my ears. Luckily for me, I have a job that allows me to be able to listen to music as I work. So I literally can listen to music 24/7, beginning when I wake up to KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic with Jason Bentley, to my iTunes at my desk, then out the door with my Shuffle on my run and in the car to work.
